Idea
Our idea is to create an ident for BT Sport. The duration of this ident is likely to las taround 25 seconds, this is so that it is long enough to include all information that is needed to be portrayed to viewers however short enough not to bore them. The ident features 2 different sports (football and rugby). It will feature tracking shots of all 2 sports and transitions inbetween them. It will also feature the logo we created towards the end of the ident.
Why are we rebranding BT Sport?
We are rebranding BT Sport as their current logo seems to be very bland and notreally relate to the channels corporate identity and ethos. The logo has no relation to sports and also is not very eye-catching.
How are we going to rebrand BT Sport?
We are going to rebrand BT Sport as we are going to make sure viewers realise the channel is related to sports just when viewing the logo. This will help it relate to the channels corporate identity and the theme or their previous idents.
Key Content
The Key content of this ident we are creating are the different sports being shown on the screen and the enjoyment and concentration on the sportsmens faces. The close-up shots that will be featured will show the emotion and passion they have for their sports on their faces. This is important as it conveys to the audience what sport is really about and also may relate to how they feel about sports personally.
Target Audience
The target audience of this ident will be the same as the ordinary target audience of BT Sport which could be any ages from the beginning of teenage years and upwards. Usually the target audience are also males, this is most likely because those playing sports are also men.
